Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies Daily Wellness Chronicle uses, why, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser to remember information between visits — like whether you've already responded to a consent banner.
Categories of cookies we use
- Essential / functional cookies. These are required for the Site to work correctly — for example, remembering your cookie consent choice so we don't ask you again on every page. These run regardless of consent, because the Site can't function properly without them.
- Analytics cookies. These help us understand, in aggregate, which pages get read and general traffic patterns. These do not run until you actively consent.
- Advertising / measurement cookies. This includes third-party tags such as the Microsoft Advertising UET tag, used for conversion measurement on some pages. These are also default-denied and only activate after consent.
How our consent banner works
On your first visit, we show a cookie banner with two choices: Accept or Reject. Until you make a choice, non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) stay switched off by default — nothing beyond essential cookies runs until you actively opt in.
- If you click Accept, we enable analytics and advertising cookies/tags for that browser going forward.
- If you click Reject, those stay off, and only essential cookies run.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we detect and honor it automatically — non-essential cookies are treated as rejected without you needing to interact with the banner at all.
Your choice is stored in your browser so we don't ask again on every visit, until you clear your browser storage or change your mind.
How to change your choice
You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage/cookies for this site and reloading a page, which will bring the banner back. You can also adjust cookie settings directly in your browser to block cookies generally, or enable a Global Privacy Control signal if your browser or a browser extension supports it — we'll honor it automatically.
Third-party cookies
When you click an outbound Amazon Associates link, Amazon may set its own cookies on its own site to track the referral — that's governed by Amazon's cookie and privacy practices, not ours. See our Disclosure page for more on our Amazon Associates participation.
